Position Title: Accounting Manager / Bookkeeper

Position Tasks & Activities:
Review accounts payable and accounts receivable reports.
Prepare and review reports with Store Manager.
Oversee contract closing is properly completed, filed and maintained according to company procedure.
Oversee daily bank deposits are made and that receipts are filed in appropriately.
Assist accounts receivable , accounts payable, payroll and customers as needed.
Review all month end reporting with manager.
Report safety violations to manager.
Fill in for other positions, when necessary, for smooth operation of the business.
Network with other industry professionals.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.
Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations and security in store.
Represent department at management meeting.
Conduct department, store and safety meetings upon request.
Attend department, store and safety meetings.
Perform other duties as requested.
Nature of the Work:
Must be able to supervise and assist the accounting personnel. Must be able to train and direct activities of subordinates. Must be able to apply logical thinking to a wide range of problems, collect data, draw conclusions and offer constructive opinions concerning day to day activities. Establish atmosphere in the office that promotes customer service. Use accounting principles and practices, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data to complete daily tasks. Uses administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, and filing and records management.
Working Conditions:
The job requires constant interaction with internal staff and the public. Constant gathering and identifying of essential information and finding ways to structure or classify multiple pieces of information. Understanding and organizing problems and then selecting a mathematical method or formula to solve the problem.
Education, Skills & Requirements:
If an Accounting Manager: Must have an accounting or finance degree plus five years experience or a CPA degree. If Bookkeeper: Must have three years bookkeeping experience.
Must maintain a professional personal appearance.
Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems.
Must be able to speak English clearly and write legibly. The ability to speak other languages is a plus.
Must be able to pass company drug screen.
Computer knowledge is preferred. Training on rental software will be provided.
Coordinate with company's CPA to assure books are in order for audits.
Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.

Must be able to provide, understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or scheduled form.
Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers.
