News and Events
June 2010, It is getting hot too early this year, already having to air condition the tents. Next month we will slow down a little.
May 2010
Another busy month, The weather has been great again this month.
April 2010
We survived April, the busiest month we have had since the business started in 1972. Everything went great and our crew did a great job working three Sundays in a row.
May will slow down just a little, we need the time to re group and get all the equipment in good shape. April is always the Thomasville Rose Show. Always fun to put a tent
in the middle of the road.
March 28th.2010.
Phew, what a Saturday we had. Four large weddings and all went very well. At all four weddings we used the French lights, It is hard to do them justice with photographs.
If you can't decide, call me and I will give you the emails of our customers from this Saturday. Ask them yourself what they thought about the lights.
The weather was just fantastic, it never rains on a Saturday; we used heaters at two of the weddings, had them on stand-by at the other two. We did not close up any of the tents even though it was a little cool at two of the locations. At one wedding we did a power point slide show projected up into the tent roof. These are always a lot of fun.
February 2010
2009 was a great year for us in spite of the poor economy. Air conditioning is in big demand and we have added to our cooling equipment with better tent fans and Vap coolers.
We now have a dedicated Air Conditioning trailer that can pull up to a 220 KVa generator behind it.
Because of fuel prices we are changing the way we get equipment to events. We have purchased new semi trailers. 45' trailers with lift gates and side doors. Only one trip to the job so everything has to be on the one trailer. It takes more planning to be sure that we have all the items that we need.
I do not believe in fuel surcharges and loads of hidden charges. So when we quote a job we quote delivery;
If fuel prices go up we still charge what we quoted.
We have had our new software just over a year and are very pleased with it. We can now email you changes just seconds after the phone call.
We have so many great new features; We will be able to get on the phone with a customer and both look at my computer screen planning an event on the CAD.
I have some great help, so 2009 during our quiet spell I took a trip up to Alaska. My two 16yo nephews flew over from Enland and we took the plane on a month long trip to Alaska via Mexico. Trip of a lifetime.
Now it is new year and so full of excitement. I go to the ARA show next week in Orlando to brush up on all the latest equipment and to do some purchasing.
Bookings are really good for 2010 and we are looking forward to the challenges ahead
Life is a barrel of fun.

Field kitchen #4
They did not follow my recommendations pertaining to linens and skirting, but the food was great.
What a fantastic bunch of folks to work with. I will never complain about my power bill again.
